Treesa Mclean, LM
Treesa Mclean, Licensed Midwife, began her career in 1983 attending families in birth at Highland Hospital in Oakland as a volunteer doula. She went on to teach childbirth education and to become a postpartum doula and eventually a midwife. Treesa received midwifery care during both her pregnancies and believes in the midwifery model, support, education, personal autonomy and evidence based care. She is committed to supporting families during the wonderful, transformational sometimes fierce transition from pregnancy to parenthood.
Treesa has had a home birth and birth center practice in the East Bay. She trained with a home birth practice for 5 years, and at Yayasan Bumi Sehat in Bali, Indonesia. Treesa has been a midwifery preceptor (teacher) to several midwifery students. She has attended approximately 1700 births in her career.
